5:54 Golden Curry
7:51 Dashi
Ingredients:
– Kombu (2 sheets)
– Bonito Flakes (1 -2 packets)
– Water (4 cups)
Steps:
1. In a saucepan with water and kombu, bring it up to a boil. Once it’s to the boil, let it simmer for 2-4 minutes and take out the kombu.
2. Then add in the bonito flakes and bring it up to a boil. Once it comes to a boil, turn the heat off and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
3. Grab a strainer and a bowl, strain out the bonito flakes then you get this umami liquid.

9:03 White Rice
9:27 Onigiri
Ingredients:
– Cooked Rice (1-2 serving)
– Seaweed Sheets
– Diced Carrots (1)
– Chopped Scallions (1)
– Ground Pork (½ pound)
– Soy Sauce (1-2 teaspoons)
– Sesame Oil
– Sesame Seeds (1 teaspoon)
Steps:
1. Saute the diced carrots in a pan with some oil, then add in a little bit of sesame oil.
2. After carrots are slightly brown, add in the ground pork and cook that down for a few minutes. Then add in scallions and sesame seeds, saute all ingredients together.
3. When the pork is cooked, add in soy sauce, mix it nicely even. Taste it to make sure it’s season well.
4. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool down. Once it’s cool, pour them into the rice bowl and mix them together until it’s nicely mixed.
5. Grab a handful of rice mixture and form into the triangular shape with your hands.
6. Take a seaweed sheet and wrap it around the triangular shape rice ball. And you get the Onigiri!

11:53 Soba Noodles
14:00 Miso Udon Soup
Ingredients:
– Miso Paste (4 tablespoons)
– Cubed Tofu (½ of package)
– Udon Noodle
– Mushrooms (4-5)
– Dashi (½-1 cup)
– Chopped Scallions (1)
– Kombu (1 sheet)
– Water (4-5 cups)
Steps:
1. In a saucepan with water, dashi, tofu, mushroom, kombu, miso paste, and bring that a boil, then take the kombu out. Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
2. Follow the direction on how to cook udon noodle from the noodle package.
3. Put the cooked noodle in a bowl and pour the miso soup over, and of course, top it with some scallions. Enjoy!

17:04 Shumai
Ingredient:
– Ground Pork (½ -1 pound)
– Chopped Carrots (½ cup)
– Chopped Garlic (1-2 cloves)
– Chopped Scallion (1)
– Grated or Chopped Ginger (2 tablespoons)
– Sesame Oil
– Soy Sauce
– Rice Wine Vinegar
– Sugar
– Dumpling Wrappers or Wonton Wrappers
– Sesame Seeds
– Fermented Chili Paste (Optional)
Step:
1. Pork Mixture: In a mixing bowl with ground pork, garlic, scallion, ginger, carrot, soy sauce (1tbsp), sesame oil (1 tbsp), sugar (1 tsp), and mix that all together. You can fry up a little bit to taste and season more if needed.
2. Sauce: In a bowl with soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, sesame seeds, fermented chili paste, and mix it nicely.
3. Wrapping shumai, watch it at 17:56
4. Put the dumplings in the steamer basket and steam it for 6-10 minutes. Don’t forget to let it rest of a few minutes before eating. Enjoy!

19:07 Cabbage Salad
19:32 Omurice
Ingredients:
– Egg (2)
– Diced Chicken (½ cup)
– Cooked Rice or leftover rice (1-2 serving)
– Chopped Onion (½)
– Chopped Garlic (1 clove)
– Chopped Scallion (1)
– Chopped Snow pea (optional)
– Soy Sauce (to taste)
Steps:
1. In a pan, saute chicken with onion and garlic for a 2-3 minutes. Then add in scallions and snow peas,cook that all together for a few minutes.
2. Add in cooked rice and stir fry all together, then add in some soy sauce and mix it evenly.
3. Let the rice stir-fried cool down.
4. In a bowl with 2 eggs, beat the eggs and add in chopped carrots, snow peas, scallion, a little bit of soy sauce. Mix up the mixture nicely.
5. Poaching egg in a Ziploc bag, watch it at 20:29
6. Place the poached egg on top of stir-fried rice, and break the egg. The egg should be running, covering the stir-fried rice.
