Deli Style Macaroni Salad that is quick and easy to make.

Today we have a video from Laura Vitale from Laura in the Kitchen and she will be showing us how to make a delicious Deli Style Macaroni Salad. This salad will go great with BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches and Pink Lemonade.

This recipe will be for a quick but classic Macaroni Salad. It takes several ingredients which you probably already have on hand, It is a mayo based Macaroni Salad which you should be familiar with.

We are looking at this recipe because firstly it is a staple in the summer time. Secondly every other recipe for this or even if you get it at your local Deli nine out of ten times ha sugar in it. This makes it really sweet and there really is no need for sugar, so this recipe will not have sugar in it.

The ingredients you will need are:

  • Diced Celery
  • Diced Red Bell Pepper
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Mayonnaise
  • Granulated Garlic
  • Granulated Onion
  • Celery Salt
  • White wine vinegar
  • Salt
  • Macaroni (Cook to El Dente, drain and shock in cold water to stop from cooking further. Put it in a colander and shake well for a few minutes to make sure there is no excess moisture.)
  • Red onion
  • Parsley

Now add the cooked and drained macaroni to the bowl and mix everything together again. Once everything is well mixed together add the Dijon Mustard and the Mayo. For about a pound of pasta you will need about a cup of mayo.

Add all of the seasoning on top of that. Now at the vinegar which with the seasoning makes it taste really good. Lastly a pinch of salt. Now just carefully mix it all together.

And that’s it. All it needs now is to set in the fridge for a little bit and then it will be ready to serve.
